Introducing the Fiat Ducato Campervan Model Kit

Our Fiat Ducato Camper Van has made it out of the design shop and onto the production line – just in time for Christmas.

Designing and making the Fiat Ducato Campervan Model has been a bit of a labour of love; growing from the idea of making a model van to something we could add to our product range. I didn’t have any of the skills to make this at the start and it has literally taken weeks and weeks of work to get here. I started this project in September 2024 and here we are today in December 2025 having started and stopped it quite a few times and many iterations. I’ll still be fine-tuning it over the coming months but here it is*.

The initial idea was to have a small van to sit on the desk but as I started making my way through the iterations I started to think about adding some features like windows. And that train of thought ultimately grew into what I hope you can see as a fairly realistic representation of a camper – the Elddis CV Range to be specific. However, it also is ideal for any 5.99m Fiat Ducato Campervan Model.

This is not a scale model, but, I worked very hard to create something that is proportionally acceptable and close to being a 1:32 scale and 18.7cm long end product.

When I create something I have two design principles I try to work to, things I create have to be functional in some way and where possible non-destructive to the van (no need to screw into the van, for example). The Fiat Ducato Model Van meets the functionality principle by having a lift-off roof to use as a trinket box for keys etc.

Why buy this Fiat Ducato Campervan Model Kit

• It’s only takes between 1 and 2 hours to build
• No painting is required – something that can sometimes be the disappointing result in model making
• You choose the elements to tailor your van to the CV20, CV40, CV60 and soon the CV80
• You can’t help but feel a sense of satisfaction when done

Who’s it for?

• This model kit is designed for adults only. Because superglue is required it really isn’t suitable for children. Perhaps guided or assisted building with an adult but again, definitely not a toy as there are many very small parts and choking risk
• Anyone looking for a gift idea for people that have or want a campervan

What else do I need to buy?

There are some things that you’ll need or could get for the build and they are listed here **:

Deciding in September this year to make the Fiat Ducato Campervan Model Kit a reality for our customers has meant many, many very late nights to get it done. We hope like and enjoy this fun model that can remind us at home of our lovely campers whether parked on the drive or in storage.
